I’m Feeling Lucky

Life’s too short for excuses, and as much as we are told to accept it, we still feel like we have time, and we all want more. We do everything possible so that there is a sense of security, and that the money or material things can be controlled and taken care of. Some of us even say that because of our own pasts, we try not to believe what we are going through. It seems like when we get used to something, we forget why it was a problem in the first place. But the truth is, some of us are fortunate enough to be able to escape from this cycle we call life. Now, let me explain, with a little bit of history, why I’m using the word “Lucky” here. To begin with, when I talk about anything from outside or inside, I mean that that particular thing makes you feel lucky to be part of the group of people who know it very well. So to bring on my perspective to the story, I’d like to start by saying how grateful I am to live.

I’ve worked hard my whole life to make sure that I do the best and most responsible thing that I have to make sure that I have a job that pays a living. Because without some kind of stability, if you will, you won’t know much good. If you don’t believe in yourself, then you’re going to lose that stability. There is no guarantee that you will remain stable for long, but if you do, you will be one of those people who get what they deserve. I have never been in any other position in my life where I don’t know what would be my last, and I mean really know what my last day of work would be. You see, being able to just run off the clock is not easy, but I am not someone who believes that everyone should, especially when you think about it. And so with that said, let’s begin. One of the main reasons that I chose to move back home was because maybe I should go back to school, study engineering, and then I can try out teaching and have a better career. Well, I love helping people with education, and maybe I don’t understand it well, but at least it helps others and so I’m trying to help others learn that way. I’m also trying to move abroad, work, and do whatever’s necessary to stay employed and not put myself down because you may want to do different things. Feeling

No matter where you decide to go, I hope the same is true. If not, then you at least find ways to get something from your past. My mother always reminds me that we have to grow up and change and adapt to new surroundings so we aren’t caught behind, and I get what she means because I just want to make sure that people realize that life changes every single day, and sometimes it doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be bad for me, but sometimes it does. Another reason is that I’m working toward becoming a lawyer by earning an LL.D., which is required by law schools in this country. While I haven’t taken classes in law yet, I’ve found courses online in areas such as business and economics. With a degree I’ve earned while working, I plan to become a lawyer by the age of 30, and by 40, I will be making over $100K per year. The numbers might sound crazy, but it’s almost three figures. And these kinds of jobs help me to earn income and thus keep an income stream. Also, if I didn’t have my job right now, then yes I might get my degree at the end of 2020. Right? Yeah, probably. Since I’m studying and working at the same time, I might even have to leave the college world and travel a lot to earn money, and then pay for my studies. That doesn’t seem like a big deal, and it definitely shouldn’t be. Besides, I’m pretty confident that I would be able to become a successful writer someday. In all honesty, a writer’s success is definitely not measured based on their ability to write a lot, but rather on how creative and informative, and engaging the content was to the audience. What I’ll tell you, this isn’t to say that I am writing well, just that I am getting good ideas down and putting them to use. This is another reason why I should be looking into becoming a writer on Medium. I would be able to share my writings across platforms—you know Instagram and Facebook—and get readers to enjoy my posts. Let’s not forget social media isn’t a huge avenue for writers to make money either, but the possibilities for it were huge at this point in time. Speaking on the flip side, if you look at the statistics about what type of stuff gets produced, they’re staggering. Especially in 2016 and 2017, there wasn’t a writer that didn’t gain popularity on Instagram.
